Kapalbari cluster of Nalbari district comprising the village of Narua, Kaldi-Laupara, Kasua, Kaplabari, Gharuabaha, Damdama, Bartala, Laupara, Kasua, Hidaltari, Kekan, Dekattary, is situated 35 Kms away from Nalbari Town of bounded by Kamrup, Barpeta, Baksa district & river Brahmaputra.

Kapalbari cluster is famous for its handwoven products. 80% of weavers skilled in weaving. The product ranges of this area are Chaddar Mekhela, Gamocha, Stoles, Furnishing Fabrics, Chelleng Chaddar, Shawl etc. of cotton, silk & woolen. 300 beneficiaries were covered out of 960 existing weavers & formed 20 nos of SHGs comprise 15 Nos of weavers in each group.

Kaplabari Cluster Development Samity is the Consortium of the cluster registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.
